Moreton Island is a unique place with many things to do and see. We have written about our favourite things to do on when visiting Moreton Island.
Honeymoon bay is a private bay close by which is great for catching a wave or just relaxing. The pools and honeymoon bay can be accessed from the North Point camp ground car park.
Cape Moreton Lighthouse
The Champagne pools and lighthouse are located on the north tip of the island. The northern side of the island has many beautiful surfing beach with waves. The lighthouse and Moreton Island Visitor centre are located together on the very most northern tip of the island near north point. Wales and dolphins can be seen from the lighthouse. You can also visit the Moreton Island National Park Information Centre which is located near the lighthouse car park in one of the old keeper’s cottages.
On your way back you can visit the famous Champagne pools and Honeymoon Bay. Waves rumble over the rocky champagne pools creating a foamy/bubbly mix for an amazing atmosphere.
